I read a very good article on American Thinker. The first commenter stardust2012 made a good comment. I wanted to reply to him but I refuse to allow 3rd party cookies an Disqus requires it to post, so I will post here to that comment.
Bishop Earl W. Jackson is a brave man, the kind of man we so desperately need today. I noticed you didn’t but so many others have adopted Jesse Jackson’s label of calling blacks, based on the color of their skin, African Americans. This is so wrong in many ways and creates division, which is the goal of a race-baiter, like Jackson and Sharpton. These men are self-serving at the expense of all of those in the black community. To parallel Mr. Jacson’s views, Americans should never be lulled into referring to themselves as anything other than Americans, least of all a hyphenated American, giving weight to a foreign country, regardless of ancestry. Say no to being enslaved by those that wish to exploit you. Make your voices heard and do not allow your leaders, self-appointed or not, speak falsely for you. Any citizen born in the US is an American. Diversity should never be a goal. Diversity will happen on its own but the goal should always be unity. As we are not the Divided States of America, we are not _______-Americans. We are Americans. Don’t settle for anything less.
